Entrances at Madison Square Garden

Standard Hours: The box office at Madison Square Garden is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additional Hours: During all events, the box office at Madison Square Garden will remain open until one hour after the event begins. If there is an event on Sunday, the box office will be open from noon until one hour after the event begins.
Accessible seating may be secured by contacting the Method NYC Guest Services Accessibility Services Department, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Madison Square Garden does not impose an age requirement to enter the venue for most events. Please check the event detail page for your specific event on our website to confirm whether any age restrictions have been imposed; events with an age restriction will be clearly identified. We strongly suggest that guests under 18 years of age attending an event are accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Garden does not provide a parent/guardian waiting area onsite.
Your digital ticket will have information on which entrance to use based on your seating location, and we ask all guests to please use your recommended entrance location. Please follow signage around The Garden to locate your entrance.
Madison Square Garden asks all guests to arrive early and travel light. Bags do not have to be clear, but they must fit comfortably under your seat. Oversized bags larger than 22” x 14” x 9” are prohibited. Madison Square Garden does not provide an area to check bags, coats or any other personal belongings. Digital tickets will need to be presented on your smartphone to enter the venue and should be downloaded in advance. Guests can display more than one ticket on the same smartphone. For additional assistance, please contact Guest Relations.
Outside food and beverage are not permitted inside The Garden. Accessible water fountains are located throughout the venue near sections 101, 103, 111, 114, 117, 208, 217, 221, and 221.If you or someone in your party have a medical condition or specific needs that require bringing in outside food or beverage, please contact Guest Relations.
In order to maintain an enjoyable experience for all guests, video cameras, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks, audio recording devices and professional cameras (those including telephoto or zoom lenses) are not permitted inside Madison Square Garden. Members of the media should reach out to the appropriate press contact with any inquiries.
Costumes are permitted with some exceptions. To ensure a safe and positive experience for all guests, full-face coverings are permitted only after clearing security and must be removed if requested by security personnel. Large costumes or headpieces, as well as full face paint, fake weapons and any other hazardous or distracting items, which may be determined at the sole discretion of our security personnel, are NOT permitted.
Laptops and tablets are permitted as long as the bags they are contained within can fit comfortably under your seat and are no larger than 22” x 14” x 9”. Onsite storage is not available.
Only service animals are permitted inside Madison Square Garden. If you or a member of your party is bringing a service animal, we strongly recommend that you contact Madison Square Garden’s Accessibility Services Department prior to your event. Seating locations that provide a dedicated space for service animals are available throughout the arena.
Strollers are permitted at The Garden, but they must be collapsible and able to fit comfortably under your seat. If you or someone in your party have additional needs, please contact Guest Relations.
For most events at Madison Square Garden, alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. MSG staff is trained in the nationally recognized T.E.A.M. (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) Training program for responsible alcohol management. Alcohol sales will be limited per customer per transaction, based on seating location. All guests may be required to show ID to purchase alcohol. Guests are not permitted to bring in alcoholic beverages from outside and may not leave with alcohol purchased inside MSG. Management reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest.
Alcohol sales will cease at the start of the fourth quarter for New York Knicks games and at the start of the third period for New York Rangers games.
Please be aware that it is the policy of MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment to require all guests who appear to be forty (40) years of age or younger to present a valid form of ID with proof of age in order to purchase alcoholic beverages at Madison Square Garden. Pursuant to applicable State law, we accept only the following forms of identification:
– A valid driver’s license or non-driver identification card issued by the United States Government, a State Government, Commonwealth, Possession or Territory of the United States or a Provincial Government of Canada
– A valid passport
– A valid U.S. military ID
Items not permitted inside Madison Square Garden include (but are not limited to):
– Weapons, firearms, knives
– Laser pens
– Pepper spray/mace and other defensive devices
– Signs, banners, flags
– Selfie sticks
– Video cameras/recording devices
– Professional cameras (including those with telephoto or zoom lenses)
– Outside food and beverage, including alcohol
– Hoverboards and skateboards
– Noisemaking devices, including cowbells, alarm devices and airhorns
Please note, the list of prohibited items may vary by event; please check the event page for the applicable event for more information. The list above provides examples only. Anything deemed inappropriate or offensive by MSG Entertainment or MSG Sports will not be permitted.
– Guests shall be respectful of others around them.
– Guests shall avoid blocking the view of other guests.
– During some concerts, the artist may request that guests be permitted to stand immediately in front of their seats during the entirety of the performance. On those occasions, standing guests shall continue to be respectful of others around them and avoid blocking the view of other guests.
– Guests shall not interfere with the event, the performers or the athletes in any way.
– Guests shall refrain from using foul/offensive language, fighting, obscene gestures, throwing objects and engaging in other behavior detrimental to the experience of other guests.
– Guests shall not walk around in the seating area until there is a stoppage in play (during sporting events). Televisions are placed inside each entrance so that you may enjoy the game while you wait for a break in play. Please stand at the bottom of the stairs and do not block the view of those guests who are seated.
– Guests shall not stand on seats or any other building structure.
– Guests shall not block the aisles.
– Guests shall not occupy a seat or remain in an area for which they do not possess a valid ticket, and shall provide their ticket upon request.
– As required by the City of New York, guests shall not smoke anywhere in Madison Square Garden.
– Guests who consume alcoholic beverages shall do so in a responsible manner.
– Guests are encouraged to report inappropriate or offensive behavior to an usher, security officer or guest experience representative.
– Guests shall comply with requests from arena staff regarding arena operational and emergency procedures.
The arena staff has been trained to intervene when deemed necessary and to use their best discretion to help ensure that guests who ignore the Code of Conduct do not interfere with other guests’ ability to enjoy an event. Guests who violate the Code of Conduct may be subject to ejection without refund and, to the extent their conduct constitutes a violation of law, may be subject to arrest. Season ticketholders may also be subject to having their season subscription revoked. We thank you for your cooperation.
